How old do you have to be?

There is no age limit it is more of a question around weight. As long as you are in the 70-300 pound range you're good! The boards themselves weigh about 70 pounds so you need to weigh at least that to counterbalance the board.

How does the eFoil work?

The hydrofoil wing creates lift in the water as the speed is increased from the propulsion motor. The motor is powered by a large lithium battery that can last up to two hours. The speed and power is controlled by a wireless bluetooth remote you hold in your hand. Once basic throttle skills are acquired, the speed creates enough lift for the board to come out of the water. Voila you are now flying!

Is it Hard?

There is definitely a learning curve because of the unique style of the board, and that can intimidating... BUT time after time people get out there on the water and within 10 minutes they've got it down! You don't need to know how to wakeboard, ski, or surf to eFoil. It is very different than all of those and it is even easier at times! Not to mention we have some amazing instructors that will be right next to you giving you the pro tips!

Where is Epic eFoils located?

We do our lessons at the Boathouse in Watercolor. However we are available for half-day rentals where we come to you!
